Quick Facts

From the Candidate’s Website

Nolan was born in Chicago where she attended Catholic school until fifth grade, then moved to Stamford, Connecticut. Nolan competed in varsity gymnastics and track, and was the first girl on the school’s cross-country team. She fought for and benefited from Title IX, including showing up to a mandatory team meeting that the coach purposefully scheduled in the boys locker room.

Nolan attended Harvard where she, “fell in love with Cambridge.” After attending the Yale School of Management and working in consulting and the nonprofit socially-responsible business sector, Nolan moved back to Cambridge in 1991 and became an active community member and advocate.

I hope to bring the same leadership to City Council that I have provided for School Committee, and to be a consistent force for positive change and accountability for our city. My management background, straightforward style, eagerness to collaborate, and willingness to call it as I see it will make a positive difference.
