The city council is meeting to discuss a legal matter known as Said S. Abuzahra, Trustee of Equity Realty Trust, et al. v. City of Cambridge. This meeting may be moved to an executive session.

Vail Court, located at 139 Bishop Allen Drive in Central Square, was taken by the City of Cambridge by eminent domain in 2016 after the owners repeatedly failed to secure and board up the vacant apartment building on site. This failure resulted in many service calls from the Police, Fire, and Inspectional Services Departments. The dilapidated building was demolished in 2018 and the property has been part of an ongoing legal dispute since.
