    Here is a section of what I sent to the council last week:

    I enthusiastically support the CDDs draft of zoning reform for Cambridge. As someone who worked on a similar endeavor, I can personally tell you that this was time consuming work. And that work has created a timely plan for the 100th anniversary of zoning in the city. Although it eliminates A and B zones, which I think is just fine, I do see how they could be restored per last week’s amended PO while still maintaining its reforming power. I’d like to in particular point out section 5.23.3(c) which makes it much easier to build mixed use buildings (i.e. retail on the first floor with housing above).
