Appropriations and Grants

  • #1 (CMA 2024 #231) $34,535.00 from the U.S. DoJ, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for the purchase of computer equipment in new police cruisers
  • #2 (CMA 2024 #232) $59,982.00 grant from the MA Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) Municipal Road Safety (MRS) to fund high-visibility traffic enforcement and initiatives to address pedestrian and bicycle safety issues

Responses to Council Requests

  • #3 (CMA 2024 #233) The city will not be able to host a Household Hazardous Waste collection event on a Sunday instead of a Saturday for staffing reasons. A weekday alternative may be considered
  • #4 (CMA 2024 #234) The city has reviewed its building climate control policies and determined that they are currently in line with generally accepted best practices
  • #5 (GMA 2024 #235) The city is currently working on a Speed Hump Program which will determine which streets thoughout the city should have speed humps. Atrim Street will be evaluated as part of that process.
